As Google provides a certain amount of free cloud storage with a Google account, many people have likely used Google Drive before.
In fact, as we use Google Drive more and more, this cloud storage platform has become a target for malicious attacks and the distribution of spam content.
Reducing the Disturbance of Spam Files
To prevent users’ Google Drive accounts from being flooded with spam files, Google recently announced that they will be adding a new feature.

This feature allows users to automatically move unsolicited spam files into a Spam folder.
The new feature can even automatically unsubscribe users, preventing unnecessary and disruptive comments, shares, or mobile notifications.
All files marked as spam by the user will only appear in the Spam folder, ensuring they are not mixed with the user’s regular files.
Available from May 24th
Similar to the Spam folder feature in Gmail, Google Drive will periodically scan and identify files that may be spam, and suggest moving them to the Spam folder.
The spam files inside the folder will be automatically deleted after 30 days.
The Spam folder feature in Google Drive will be available to all users starting on May 24th. Whether using the web version, desktop program, Android, or iOS mobile app, users will be able to access it.
Note that there will be an extended two-week rollout period starting from the launch date.
