Have you ever imagined being able to build websites and web apps without writing a single line of code?
While OpenAI’s ChatGPT has already amazed us with its ability to automatically generate code, papers, reports, lyrics, and translations, OpenAI itself has yet to fulfill its promise of providing an easy way to construct websites based on textual prompts.
However, WhimsyWorks, a startup based in New York, has launched MetaGPT (Pico), a tool based on GPT-4, which “steps into the breach” and becomes the first to fulfill OpenAI’s promise. With MetaGPT, users can effortlessly build websites and web applications by simply entering text, without the need for coding.
MetaGPT, the newly released tool by WhimsyWorks, bears similarities to the no-code website builders that have emerged in recent years. However, it greatly improves the hassle of piecing together different parts of a website when using a no-code approach.
In other words, users only need to input their requirements in a specific format and can immediately see the results.
Furthermore, this service provides an iterative improvement process. Users can input new prompts in different iterations to solve issues and generate a product that fully satisfies them. For users, MetaGPT acts like a virtual web designer, eliminating the problems commonly associated with outsourced web designers, such as communication breakdowns and disappearing acts.
Basically, whatever you want MetaGPT to do, it will promptly present the results before your eyes.
According to the MetaGPT/Pico website, the company has already developed over 11,000 web applications using MetaGPT, including dashboards and clinic queue management systems.
MetaGPT allows users to create one web application for free, along with four iteration changes. Users also have the option to subscribe on a monthly basis, enabling them to create an unlimited number of web apps.
